Over the initiative's lifetime, the Luce Foundation awarded 20 grants, investing over $15 million. The SUNY/CUNY Southeast Asia Consortium was among the final round of grantees in 2023.

This PRIO Paper examines global conflict trends between 1946 and 2023 using data from the Uppsala Conflict Data Program (UCDP). In 2023, 59 state-based conflicts were recorded in 34 countries, the highest number of conflicts registered since 1946.
