This event  showcased the latest research on child labor and forced labor, building on invaluable experiences from the ILO's MAP 16 and Research-to-Action projects that leverage knowledge to accelerate progress in the elimination of child labor and forced labor.

The workshop aims to bring together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders to share insights, discuss challenges, and explore effective strategies to address child labor and forced labor. Starting with presentations of tools and recent research, the event will focus on innovative approaches to making research accessible to policymakers and feature experiences from selected countries in strengthening the national capacity to tackle child labor and forced labor also thanks to research support. 

Confirmed speakers include leading experts in the field, ensuring a comprehensive and informative session. This workshop provides a unique opportunity to engage with the latest research, exchange ideas, and foster collaboration among participants committed to the eradication of child labor and forced labor globally.

This workshop is being organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in collaboration with Georgetown University’s Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor, and the United States Department of Labor.
