After the Summit, the permanent co-host of the mechanism, the International Disability Alliance, with the support of the Global Disability Summit Secretariat, embarked on an analysis of the commitments received.

Through the Global Disability Summit Report, we want to provide key information from the preparatory phase of the GDS2022 relating to the regional and national consultations, how we selected the GDS agenda, the mechanisms in place that allowed us to take stock of the progress made since GDS2018, and what we have been doing to monitor the implementation of the commitments.

One of the report’s main goals is to investigate and analyse the commitments received at GDS2022, highlight some good examples of commitments we have received in line with the CRPD and underline the emerging trends and issues that can be improved as we look ahead at GDS2025.

The reports’ findings are many, and we hope they prove useful insights for anyone interested.

For example, did you know that the majority of the commitments (57%) have been pledged to be implemented within the next 5 years?

Or that 476 commitments (or 36% of all commitments submitted) involve joint cooperation among stakeholders, speaking to the importance of an increased demand for coordinated efforts towards better results in inclusive development.

If you want to access these results, and learn about the outcomes of the GDS, you can download the English version of the report here.
