Hear from global experts Former Minister of Digital Affairs of Taiwan Audrey Tang, Professor of Media Arts and Sciences at MIT and Director of the MIT Center for Constructive Communication Deb Roy and Founder and CEO of DemocracyNext Claudia Chwalisz in conversation with MIT Museum Director Michael John Gorman and experience the promise of shared listening and deliberation.

Focusing on the potential of AI tools to increase participation in democratic processes, this panel explores new technological approaches to giving voices to those who are commonly excluded from public discourse. How can AI help empower varied and nuanced opinions to combat the polarization of political discourse? Will AI provide amplification for a larger set of voices and offer new insights into the issues that shape our political allegiance?

This program is presented as part of the Cambridge Science Festival. The MIT Museum is free during the Cambridge Science Festival.

This is a ticketed event with standing room available for the public; pre-registration is required.

Please note that unclaimed seats and standing room will be released to the general public 10 minutes prior to the program’s start time. To guarantee attendance, please arrive early.
