During the event, the World Benchmarking Alliance launched its 2023 Corporate Human Rights Benchmark and 2023 Gender Benchmark, with a presentation of key findings. Discussion with experts and practitioners covered gender challenges and opportunities in Bangladesh’s ready-made garment (RMG) sector, as well as ways to bridge global-local gaps in global supply chains.

 

The event was hosted by World Benchmarking Alliance and UNDP B+HR Asia with support from the Government of Sweden and Generation Foundation.

Gender Benchmark, Corporate Human Rights Benchmark and Pressure Points As Levers of Change

 

This week, more than 350 people from 40+ countries joined the virtual dialogue “Addressing Power Imbalance in Global Supply Chains”, which explored how benchmarking can be used as a lever to address power imbalances in global supply chains, as well as how benchmarks can be used to influence corporate decision making and facilitate access to remedy.
