Description
As crises become increasingly complex - driven by conflict, climate and environmental disasters, inequality, and other systemic pressures - displacement is no longer a short-term emergency but a long-term development and systems challenge.
Amy Pope, Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), joins Sara Pantuliano, Chief Executive of ODI Global, for a timely in-conversation event to explore strategies for delivering solutions to displacement.
The discussion will examine how public, private, and humanitarian actors can move beyond fragmented responses to forge coherent, inclusive, and forward-looking partnerships that place displaced people at the centre of policy and practice.
Join us, as we ask:
- How can we reframe displacement as a development, systems and rights-based challenge?
- What kinds of partnerships and leadership are needed to drive lasting change?
- What will it take to shift the political narrative around migration from crisis to contribution?
Please note: This is a closed-door invitation only event. Please email events@odi.org if you are interested to attend in person.
