It is legitimate for technology to be driven by a profit making logic but the problem is with the way the society has become too inclined to follow blindly the pursuit of new devices whose sales are aggressively boosted by aggressive marketing. What is not necessary become essential and yet it is not contributing in making our lives any better.

राज्यले ज्येष्ठ नागरिक, एकल महिला, अपांगहरुलाई सामाजिक सुरक्षा भत्ता उपलब्ध गराउँदै आएको छ । छलफलका क्रममा ज्येष्ठ नागरिकहरुले आफुले ६ महिनाको २ हजार ७ सय ५० रुपैयामात्र भत्ता पाएको बताए । नियमतः मासिक ५०० का दरले ६ महिनाको ३ हजार रुपैया पाउनुपर्ने हो । तर मैले भेटेका सबै जनाले ६ महिनाको सामाजिक सुरक्षा भत्ताबाट २ सय ५० रुपैया काटिएको बताए । यो थाहा पाउँदा मलाई आश्चर्य लाग्यो ।

               Nepal is culturally developed country. There are about hundreds of culture following their own religion, values and norms. Though many cultures in Nepal are well developed from social point of view, Chepang’s culture is still in the same dark as it was on Stone Age. Education and chepangs are totally separated from each other. Life is in danger if they want education.

Yet Mahbubani, one of the most perceptive global commentators, also warns that a new global order needs new policies and attitudes.

"CITIZENFOUR is a real life thriller, unfolding by the minute, giving audiences unprecedented access to filmmaker Laura Poitras and journalist Glenn Greenwald’s encounters with Edward Snowden in Hong Kong, as he hands over classified documents providing evidence of mass indiscriminate and illegal invasions of privacy by the National Security Agency (NSA).
Poitras had already been working on a film about surveillance for two years when Snowden contacted her, using the name “CITIZENFOUR,” in January 2013."
