Current physical infrastructures in the capital city of Nepal, pose as barriers for people who use mobility devices discouraging social participation, independence and dignity putting them in vulnerable situations. It is a matter of public safety concern for senior citizens, cyclists, wheelchair users, people with a vision disability, baby strollers and joggers.

This article highlights the current labour market trend of PWD in Nepal, in comparison to the obligations Nepal must fulfill as a state party of the CRPD. It also shares how individuals or groups can file complaints when violation (discrimination/ disability unfriendly environments) of the CRPD is observed in Nepal to the OHCHR via email. Scientific interventions are also recommended.
